Sydney Lucas

I’m originally from Vancouver, BC, but married an American and somehow ended up living coast to coast—from Seattle to Houston and now Connecticut. Motherhood has been the most grounding and transformative part of my life, in ways I never could have predicted.

Hiring a sleep consultant during my own parenting journey quite literally changed my life. It helped me feel calmer, more confident, and more connected to my baby and it showed me that sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. And we all deserve a bit of both!

My path to motherhood included IVF, loss, and surrogacy. It was heavy at times, and I truly couldn’t have done it without the foundation of sleep. Sleep gave me the capacity to heal, to show up with patience, and to actually enjoy my baby instead of just surviving the day.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of supporting over 300 families. I love getting to know parents deeply and being their best friend in the hard moments and their trusted expert when they need clarity. I do this work with real life in mind, without judgement and a dash of humor, because parenting is intense and no one needs more pressure.

I also know firsthand what good sleep makes possible. It’s what allows me to travel across Europe with my toddler, head back to Canada regularly to see family, and explore the bustle of NYC with kids in tow. At the heart of it all is my own family—my rescue dog Lexi, my husband John, and my boys, Maverick and Cade—who remind me every day why this work matters and why I truly love what I do.

I have been in your position!

Trust me babes, I know how defeating, exhausting and frustrating sleep can be when nothing seems to be going right.  As my son Maverick reached six months old he was in a hip harness for dysplasia and diagnosed with Craniosynostosis needing major surgery, along with my own postpartum health struggles, we were fighting just to get by day to day and sleep was a stress mess. At the recommendation of a friend (yay moms supporting moms) I hired a sleep coach and I have never looked back! Whatever your journey is, we all deserve to feel our best with rest. Parenthood is hard, sleep doesn’t have to be!

From a well-rested babe….

“ Since I was pregnant, Sydney supported and encouraged me with the tools and guidance I needed to prepare for life with a baby. I followed her advice from the very beginning, and it truly worked wonders. Her approach is gentle, loving, realistic, and incredibly effective.

Both of my children were sleeping through the night by 7–8 weeks old, which made such a difference for our entire family. Having consistent sleep helped our babies feel happier during the day and allowed my husband and me to actually enjoy raising them from the start.

Whenever we hit a regression or a rough patch, Sydney was always there with calm reassurance and clear guidance. Even on days when I just needed to vent or be reassured, she was the perfect support—steady, compassionate, and knowledgeable.

My children are now two and three years old and continue to sleep incredibly well thanks to the routines and principles we still follow. I can’t recommend Sydney enough and suggest her to every family I know. We are so grateful for her. “

what other mamas are saying…

No sleep training is without crying. But you do not let them cry it out with Sydney’s method. She gives you tools depending on your baby's age to go into the room and be in the room to let your baby know ''mommy and daddy are here and you are safe and you got this''. She has also taught us to learn his cries. Night one was the hardest but we are on day 3 of sleeping entirely through the night now. He is napping better and eating better too!

I just want to thank you! I cannot imagine traveling across the globe with a baby that doesn't sleep well! She didn't sleep well during travel but since arriving she has slept like a champ in 4 different environments and without a fuss too! I can't imagine how stressed I would be if she wasn't able to sleep well in so many different and new places while we visit family for a month.

We have completed our program and beyond thankful! Sydney supported us and provided us with a program that worked for our entire family. Our daughter no longer requires us to help her to sleep and sleeps in her crib for the entire night. Thank you Sydney for all your help and support!
